From Rockefeller Center...to the little Christmas tree in our town square...to our living room - it's the big moment. When it's time to light the lights on the Christmas tree! It's like Christmas begins when the lights go on!
In a sense, Christmas is all about the lights going on. The Bible likens Jesus' coming to the sunrise! "The rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death" (Luke 1:78-79).
See, when the sun comes up, it reveals what we could never see otherwise. And that's what Jesus does. He answers our questions about why we're here... He dispels our loneliness with the love we were made for...and lights up the darkness of death with the promise of His heaven.
If we belong to Him. Heaven's Rising Sun reveals the sin that keeps us from God. And that cross where He died to pay for your sin.
