Christmas is full of the familiar. Familiar decorations... ornaments... recipes. We exchange cards with familiar people. And do familiar traditions.
The familiar is safe and helps us feel anchored in a chaotic world.
And Christmas brought us a Savior, who knows us. He's more familiar with us, than we are with ourselves! And oh how He loves us - His precious creation.
God even knows the "number of hairs on our head," and "brings out all the starry hosts one by one, and calls them each by name." If the God who hung each star calls them by name, how much more valuable am I? And you!
