Rescue Stories
So many lives are at stake and waiting to be rescued, and there is no more urgent work for Christians than to keep people from going to hell, "snatching them from the fire" (Jude 23 ).
Many of the people we want to reach with Jesus' life-saving message seem beyond our reach, and we often find a great distance between us and the dying people we must rescue. When we see, through the eyes of Jesus, the awful lostness of the people we care about, we know there are lives at stake. We have to find a way to reach them, no matter what the distance or the risks.
Once we reach them, we have a story to tell, and God calls us to tell the story of how we have helped rescue others!
