One of the secrets of a great relationship with God is to read what He’s written to you, and that's the Bible. It’s the world’s all-time best-selling book and has helped more people with their lives than any other book.
As 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.” God breathed out His feelings onto paper through a variety of human authors for a combination of 66 "books" to help you see your life through His eyes.
It is so much more than a religious book. It’s the only book God ever wrote, and He wrote it for you. When you read His Word, you’re spending time with a person. Meet with Jesus through what He wrote to you.
And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
"Men of Galilee," they said, "why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!"
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
