Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - September 2008 Prayer Update

Dear Friend,

"I will obey God!  I will be a rescuer!  Lord, I want to shake the gates of hell!"

You might be surprised at who was proclaiming that with such passion.

Young people.  "Post-Christian" and "Postmodern" young people.  Hundreds of them, one at a time, in front of a microphone.  It gets even better.  This "shout from the rooftops" moment was brought to you from Warrior Leadership Summit (WLS) by Native young people, perhaps some of the most reticent, quiet folks on this planet.  One of our young On Eagles Wings leaders was thrown for a loop: "Did you ever think you'd ever see something like this?"

I've got to answer with a big "YES." These were lives transformed by the Most High God after they were ignited by His Word.  Why wouldn't their lungs get a workout?  God gave me the gift of being His messenger that night, and it was a blast and blessing to witness all of this unfold.  I wish you could have been there for this launching of young warriors, because your prayers and your gifts help miracle moments like this happen.

The rescued becoming rescuers.  The liberated becoming liberators!  It's not just happening in Native America.  Warrior Leadership Summit and On Eagles' Wings are microcosms of what God is doing in a macro way, as you partner with us to reach the lost and dying adults and young people of this planet.

RHM follows Jesus' example of understanding our audience before we communicate with them.  That's one reason the groundbreaking Native work God has trusted us with is so effective.  It's one reason why we believe RHM's outreach initiatives in the areas of internet, radio and live events continue to see many come to Jesus.  Our desire is to be like the Bible's men of Issachar, people who "understood the times and knew what Israel should do". (1 Chronicles 12:32 )

We can build the ministry altars.  Only God can send the fire.  That's why we're asking you to pray some "Elijah prayers" with us.  We're praying that God will indeed ignite the offerings we make to Him to bring Him glory as we share His hope with the lost.  "...So [the lost] will know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts...". (1 Kings 18:37 )

Some of these offerings are so in the face of the enemy, in places where he is used to so much success, that there is no way they will "ignite" without God's people praying.  Many of these offerings are expensive, because that's what it takes sometimes to build effective ministry tools.

Please...pray with us about how God would use your gifts to help ignite these offerings.  With all the challenges of this bold season of front lines rescue, the greatest danger is not on the front-lines...it's on the supply lines.  Ministry is booming, but giving is down...at a crucial moment in the battle.

The battle cry of the warriors at WLS echoed RHM's rescue passion, and the famous words of John Wesley: "Give me 100 men who fear nothing but sin and love nothing but God, and I will shake the gates of hell."  Thank you for being part of a powerful minority that truly loves Jesus...and loves nothing more than seeing lives and eternities transformed by His love.
