Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - October 2009 Prayer Update

In many parts of our great country right now, it's harvest time. Of course, when you grow up in Chicago, like I did, you don't know much about harvesting.

But I married a farm girl, and I have lots of friends who are farmers. They've taught me a lot about harvest. I needed to know. Because "harvest" is the way Jesus described the work of bringing lost people to Him. When it's harvest time, you drop everything, get all the help you can find and work until it's done. The opportunity is great...the time is short...if you don't get it when it's ready, it will be lost.

Right now, our RHM Team is in full harvest mode. And as our partner in this life-saving work, you can celebrate with us. So much seed that we have sown together is beginning to bear significant fruit.

We worked hard and long to develop a groundbreaking Website that would reach millions of really lost young people who live on the Internet. Now, virtually every day, young people are checking out The Doug and Jon Show and coming away with Christ as their Savior. In its first weeks, young people from 54 countries have visited the site. There's a harvest of young lives every day! And because finances are tight, our promotion has been only a fraction of what we've planned. Imagine what could happen when the word really starts to spread! Harvest. Big-time.

We've also poured a lot into developing the A Life That Matters DVD training series and live training events that could turn silent believers into spiritual rescuers. Even with the limited amount we can spend right now on getting the word out, we continually hear about groups of believers who are being ignited and transformed by this experience. When they get this training, they start leading people to Christ. It really works. When we're able to get A Life That Matters into many more places, the rescue multiples will be amazing. It's harvest time.

The harvest is coming ready when the economy is making the resources for harvesting harder to find. That's why what you give is so decisive - and so deeply appreciated. Thank you for your vital part in the victories He's won - and even greater victories yet to be won. We're praying now that God will blow the lid off the harvest - that He will "increase our store of seed" to "enlarge the harvest" (2 Corinthians 9:10 ). Because a harvest delayed is a harvest lost. Forever.
