Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - November 2008 Prayer Update

Dear Friend,

They're half the world. They're most of the people who ever come to Christ. And they're a lifelong ministry passion of my heart. Young people.

God broke my heart for them when I was still one of them. And though many years have passed, that "heart trouble" has been incurable. As never before, they're out of control, out of answers, out of hope. Like the girl who recently wrote this middle-of-the-night blog on MySpace:

"I don't want to grow up. It scares me. I don't know who to turn to about it... Love is something I've lost faith in. All it is is pain. I'm so tired of being hurt...I'm through with the god-awful pain of a heart break. I wish I had a never ending supply of rum."

She's so ready for a Savior like Jesus. If someone can break through the hurt to get to her heart with His Gospel. There are millions like her.

Over 75% of those who find Christ do it by the age of 18. They should be the highest priority of the Church's outreach efforts! Often they're not. But we cannot leave them lost! We have to give them a chance at Jesus before their hearts turn hard and their lives implode! And that's what drives so much of what RHM does, in partnership with you. We're committed to try to save lost young people "by all possible means" (1 Corinthians 9:22 ).

We'll find them on the Internet...

• Like pioneer missionaries of the past, we're going to the jungle where the unreached people are. Lost young people are the "digital natives" who live in the Internet jungle. You don't go with a machete and mosquito repellent - you go with high-energy media that will engage these media-saturated young people. That's what Doug Hutchcraft and his team have developed - the most dynamic youth rescue tools I've ever seen. Creative attention-getters and audience-builders, an intriguing Website... and a carefully constructed road to the Cross - the harvest could be amazing.

We'll reach them through "never seen anything like it" youth events...

• It's going to take more than a band and a speaker to reach today's lost young people. In the months ahead, we'll launch a new kind of youth outreach event that is totally "outside the box." It's boldly creative in involving young people, using the kinds of communication they're used to, and presenting the timeless Gospel of Christ.

We'll go to the places where the most devastated young people live...

Of all the broken kids I've met in my life, none are more broken - or unreached - than the Native young people of this continent. They've been dying out of sight for way too long. So we've dared to go right to the heart of their reservations with "On Eagles' Wings" teams of young Native believers. And they're making missions history, bringing thousands to Christ in recent years. Finally, there's some hope.

Youth media, youth events, youth teams - we're all-out to "care for the lost" and "seek the young" (Zechariah 11:16 ). God's given us the heart and the how. And He's given us partners like you - with a holy heart match.

Make no mistake - we're invading satanic strongholds to take back young lives. Without your fervent prayer, it's not going to happen. Or without your gifts. It's not cheap to go to the Internet with tools that can compete with the darkness there. It's not cheap to do 21st Century youth events or take rescue teams to reservations. But rescue is never cheap. Just ask Jesus.

In the 60 days left in this year, so much ministry hangs in the balance. So many of our friends have been unable to give what they want to give. That's left us nearly paralyzed financially - and crying out to God for a November to remember. Please pray about what God might have you give this month - there's never been more at stake. Not programs. Lives.

As we look ahead to the wonderful season of Thanksgiving, you are high on the list of what we have to thank God for. You've allowed your heart to be broken for the lostness that breaks His. You're a heart match with us, making possible our life-saving work through your partnership. Thank you for the eternities you've already helped change. And thank you for helping us to fight for more young lives than ever before.
