Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - June 2010 Prayer Update

Dear Friend,

It grabs me every time I walk into our headquarters dining room. The eternity counter.

Our media team recently posted a world population clock on a video screen. It reports the ever-growing number of people on this planet who've died since the year began. The last I looked:

Over 23 million people have gone into eternity in 2010 so far...ready or not. Forever now in one of two places - heaven or hell.

There, in stark eternity math, is the why behind: "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to everyone" (Mark 16:15 - NLT). By the time you and I go to sleep tonight, over 150,000 more of our fellow humans will slip into eternity. I'm reminded of the convicting words of General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army - "Can we go too fast in saving souls? If anyone still wants a reply, let him ask the lost souls in hell."

All through this ministry, we feel that life-or-death urgency. So many lost...so little time. We go after them in the years when most people come to Christ - when they're young. Every day, around the clock, we pursue lost young people through our thedougandjonshow.com rescue website. And through it, the Lord is "adding daily those who are being saved" (Acts 2:47 ).

We're going after those who can only be reached by a believer they know. That's why we're finding more and more ways to awaken a worldwide army of spiritual rescuers, using our A Life That Matters training.

And we're going - before this month is over - to those who've been lost so long. The Native people of this continent.

So few have been rescued for the 500 years of mission effort. Pain so great it is literally killing them, day after day. Forgotten and invisible too long. Not anymore! With your help, young Native believers are mobilizing to fight for the lives of their people - as only they can. It's a strategy that is bringing thousands of Native young people to Jesus in an historic harvest. That life-saving mission will launch from our Warrior Leadership Summit Native youth conference at the end of this month. With you as our partner, we'll be prearing young people from over 70 tribes to be hope for their people. We also continue to nurture the movement that God began in South America last summer. Local believers are learning how to replicate this indigenous youth movement among their people - the largest Indian tribe on earth! They plan to have the kind of Summer of Hope team we trained them for last summer. A team God used to lead over 900 young people to Christ in seven days!

And then, a hope invasion of ten hurting reservations, led by the young warriors of our On Eagles' Wings team. More than any other population, this is where dying young is a way of life. Native Americans live, on average, 30 years less than the rest of us. Time is always short when it comes to reaching lost hearts. Among Native young people, it's even shorter.

Getting out the Gospel is always a race against time. How fast we can run is determined, more than anything, by the finances that fuel all our rescue efforts. At this peak season for spiritual rescue, we're running short of fuel. I cannot tell you how much your gift this month will mean - and how much it will do. When we have the funds, when we're covered by your prayer, we can charge unhindered and undistracted into the battle for hearts and lives. So, we are storming the Throne of Grace for a humanly unexplainable June - God-glorifying spiritual breakthroughs, fueled by a financial breakthrough.

For some, things slow down in the summer. We can't slow down. "He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son" (Proverbs 10:5 ).

Every day, lives are at stake. And the eternity clock never stops running.

Monday - For our team developing the Rescuers for Christ website to help everyday believers become spiritual rescuers.

Tuesday - For God to bring to this summer's On Eagles' Wings team every warrior He wants.

Wednesday - For God to use the additional time teenagers have in the summer to bring even more to The Doug and Jon Show website to find Christ.

Thursday - For the reservations where On Eagles' Wings will go this summer - the local leaders, prepared hearts, a paralyzed enemy, a protected team.

Friday - For many lives impacted this month through the radio broadcasts and e-mail transcripts of A Word with You.

Saturday - For the Native leaders of The Path, RHM's year-round youth ministry on a reservation in the Southwest.
