Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - September 2010 Prayer Update

Dear Friend,

I was eight years old, and I was invisible.

Well, in my mind anyway. I was (cue Superman announcer voice) "InvisiBoy!" The superhero with the incredible power of not being seen! It was awesome. To this day, my mother tells me I had the uncanny ability to disappear as a child, especially when it was time to do the chores.

Most of us have imagined what it would be like to be invisible. Sadly, for far too many people on this planet, they have to go no further than the reality of their own lives to know what this feels like. For whatever reason...personality, geography, or just the apathy of those around them...they are "invisible" to seemingly everyone. Everyone but Jesus, that is.

The One that made them in His image, that created every strand of their DNA, that gave them their gifts, talents and uniqueness...He loves them so much He laid down His life for them. During His ministry on earth He went out of His way to find those in plain sight that were invisible to everyone else - the "Zacchaeuses," the sick the outcast.

See, that's the thing about an "invisible" person: sometimes you have to look harder to find them. But that is when we, God's people, are at our best! When we form a search party and say, "They may be invisible to everyone else, but they aren't to Jesus so they won't be to us!"

So, together you go with us on these "life or death" missions to share the hope of Jesus. Sometimes these missions are to reservations, like one the "On Eagles Wings" team recently traveled to:

"This is a community that has seen 1,500 suicide attempts in eight months! It's unimaginable that there could be that much despair among any community of just 10,000 people. But according to the reservation hospital, that's the awful reality of life here. What's more unimaginable is that we've never heard about this recent suicide epidemic. Sadly, it shows how totally invisible Native Americans can be in this country. The first Americans bleed - and die - out of sight and out of mind."

We go on rescue missions together, getting to many that have been forgotten, during their most vulnerable moments on the internet. Here are a few comments from TheDougAndJonShow.com website:

Friend, you and I are never more like Jesus than when we invest in the invisible. Your investment, your prayer, your gift right now is the fuel for our most intensive, our most aggressive rescue efforts of the year. At a time of year when the financial tide usually goes out, it means so much when your gift comes in!

God gave me the privilege of leading worship and speaking at this conference, and I can tell you firsthand: there is nothing like a life transformed by Jesus, the great Worth Giver!
