Ron Hutchcraft Ministries - Maximizing Ministry in the Midst of Economic Uncertainty

The worldwide economic valley has impacted plans for individuals, businesses, and ministries in ways that are unprecedented for many of us. Everyone is seeking ways to make sense of their current financial situation and put together plans that allow them to feel some stability for the next few months. RHM is wrestling with these same issues.

Because RHM exists to rescue the spiritually dying and to mobilize other rescuers to do the same, the conscious decision was made that even though the budget must be reduced in 2009, we need to find ways to maintain or increase the "rescue" impact. In these challenging financial times, individuals who are seeking answers to life issues are open to all answers that lead to stability, including the Gospel. How ironic in these days when people are seeking an anchor, that budget reductions are forcing ministries to cut back activity that leads people to Christ.

At RHM, the first place we turn for answers is always God's Word. Proverbs 2:1-11 NLT says, "My child, listen to what I say, and treasure My commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe."

Some wisdom we believe God gave RHM to maximize the rescue ministry even in these uncertain economic times are:

• Distribute Ron Hutchcraft's "A Life That Matters" material in the form of small group curriculum to mobilize an army of rescuers. We pray thousands of individuals in families, organized small groups, or Sunday School classes will utilize the "A Life That Matters" material, and begin to see themselves as Christ's ambassadors strategically placed by God to represent Him to the people of that location. Ultimately, we trust the eternal destination of many in their sphere of influence will be changed. With groups purchasing their own material, this ministry will have minimum cost and maximum impact. • Utilize Ron's unique qualifications and proven principles to mobilize an army of business leaders to reach their peers for Christ. Through an outreach called Rescue by Business, our ministry can mobilize individuals in existing Christian business organizations. We can help equip them to utilize the strengths of their organization, and their relationships with other non-believing business leaders to hold a one-time rescue event designed to lead to an ongoing rescue movement in the local community. Because most of the cost of this plan is born by the local business organization, this ministry will have minimum cost and maximum impact. Inquire concerning a Rescue by Business event in your area.
• Utilize the power of the On Eagles' Wings® team to reach their people for Christ, but rather than sending out two teams, needing two buses, two groups of leaders, etc. - create a super team that travels together on one bus, lodges together, but divides for evening outreaches. A super team may not work every year, but for a year or two the team can travel to areas that have a high concentration of reservations so conducting two outreaches from one central location is possible.
