It is hard to believe that we are two-thirds of the way through 2009. This year has brought us a new U.S. President, a lot of debate on healthcare, and a faltering economy where even our homes have fallen in value. From a worldly perspective, things look very bleak and dark.

Yet, God has given us a bright light through His Son, Jesus Christ. Despite all the disturbing news we hear from the world, your investments in reaching the lost continue to grow in value. Investments in God's work pay great heavenly rewards.

This summer is an example of God blessing your investment in His work.

• 1,484 more Native North and South American young people now have a relationship with Jesus Christ because of the On Eagles' Wings outreaches, thanks to your investment.
• Hundreds of Native North American young people have returned home from Warrior Leadership Summit equipped and determined to share Christ on their reservation - a conference made possible by you.
• For the first time in history, a team of On Eagles' Wings Native young people traveled to Peru to share the Gospel in OEW style side-by-side with Peruvian young people.

Your investment in God's work is paying "dividends" through new believers rescued from the clutches of Satan, and dividends through rewards in heaven.

The momentum has been great this first two-thirds of 2009. Now, as we enter into the final four months of the year, your investment in God's work is greatly needed to maintain the momentum. Many of you are investing through prayer. Please, keep praying. Prayer sustains and opens many doors. Many of you are investing financially out of what God has given you. Please keep investing financially so that many more people may begin a relationship with Jesus by year's end.

In John 4:34-38 , Jesus talks about the harvest. Some sow; others reap. In verse 36, both the one who sows and the one who reaps rejoice together. Your financial investment is like sowing. It provides the seed that is needed. Without it, the seed is reduced, thereby reducing the crop to reap. Please consider what God would have you invest in His work and continue partnering in the ministry we both share. With the momentum that has been started, let's finish this year strong.
