You may have never been through an actual earthquake, but you may have had enough upheavals of your own to realize that things you're sure will always be there may not be.
Maybe your life was moving along pretty much as usual, and suddenly the ground started moving underneath you. Things you felt would always be there are now moving because of one sudden malfunction.
There's a lot we can't control. The waves of one of life's quakes will come rolling at you, rocking your security and your world. It's not a question of whether one of life's quakes will hit you; it's only a question of when. This means we need to be sure we are fully covered with comprehensive quake insurance. Romans 8:37-39 of God's Word refers to life's most turbulent, destructive experiences. It says "In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." This is the testimony of a man who has found a relationship that does not move, no matter what else is moving. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
There is a love that is unloseable, unmovable, unconditional, and is a relationship that will sustain you when everything else is out of control. There is only one love like this. There are some things that can separate you from the love of your life partner, your children, or your friends, but the Bible says, nothing "in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Once you have found Him, you won't be separated. This love is only yours if you have had the wall removed - the sin wall that separates you from God. Jesus died to pay for your sin that separates you from God. That wall can only come down when you put all your trust in what Jesus did for you on the cross.
Has there ever been a time when you have gone to that cross in your heart and put your total trust in Jesus to tear down the wall? Things you're sure will always be there may not be, except for one. Life has no quake so severe that it can touch the unshakable love of Jesus Christ.
