How do I book the Event?

What is the Event about?

A Life That Matters is designed to ignite your church's passion for the lost. A companion to Ron Hutchcraft's latest book A Life That Matters and the Small Group Curriculum, this exciting event will motivate and prepare your congregation to reach more people for Jesus than ever before.

What will participants learn?

  • You will discover how God wants to use your life to make the greatest possible difference by taking people to heaven with you.
  • You will help develop a very practical and personal strategy for reaching the people you love and care about with the message of Jesus.
  • You will learn how to communicate the Gospel to lost people in ways that they can easily understand and in ways you can feel confident about.
  • You will experience practical hands-on training in a safe environment of what is being taught throughout the event.

Why should our church host this Event?

While many people in church today have gone through some type of evangelism training, by and large we aren't using what we've learned to reach lost people. And it's not just that people don't know how to share their faith. The bigger problem is that the desire (want to) to reach out to the lost is what is missing. This event will start off addressing the want to and then moving into the how to. Your congregation will walk away with a fresh understanding of who they are and why God has placed them where He has placed them. They will no longer see themselves the same nor the people around them who need Jesus. And they will walk away with some very simple methods of getting into the lives of lost people and communicating Christ to them.

What is the format for the Event?

While the format is easily adaptable according to a church's needs, one of the following two formats is the most popular, widely used and effective:

  1. The Presenter shares the pulpit on a Sunday morning, followed by a two hour presentation on Sunday evening; Or...
  2. The Presenter provides a one-time three-hour presentation, with breaks included.

Is the event also available in Spanish or any other language?

RHM has provided events in which a Spanish translator has been used. It is the responsibility of the host church to provide the translator, as well as any special equipment needed such as radio transmitters, etc.

Is the event primarily for believers or is it evangelistic?

While the bulk of the material is geared for preparing believers to effectively share their faith, there is a Gospel presentation included to give participants the opportunity to make a commitment of their life to Jesus.

Is there an invitation given at the end?

The Presenter will share a clear Gospel message during the event, and give participants the opportunity to respond while sitting in their seats. Commitments will then be recorded on comment cards, which the Presenter will distribute at the end of the event. The comment cards of the people who made commitments will then be copied by the host church and followed up on by the church.

What is the appropriate age for attendees?

This event is suggested for people ages 13 and older.

Are there snack breaks?

The host church is strongly encouraged to provide minimal snacks and beverages during breaks, such as bottled waters, Chex Mix, etc.

Does the Live Event actually come to my church?

The event is held at your church's physical location on the agreed upon date.

What happens to the pictures and videos taken at the Event?

RHM uses the pictures and videos for print, web, and video resources. The host church agrees to this type of usage for ministry purposes only.

Who is responsible for promoting the Event?

RHM will provide the host church with PDFs of promotional materials, such as bulletin inserts and posters. These will be e-mailed to a contact person from your church. It will be up to the host church to print all printable promo pieces for their congregation and Christian community. We will also assist with promotional DVDs, emails and other helpful resources to get the word out. If the host church is unable to do so, RHM will print off the numbers of each needed, and the print costs will be included in the overall expenses of the event.

Are there participant handouts to use during the Event?

RHM provides the host church a pdf of the handout and it is the host church's responsibility to print off one per participant, and as many as needed.

Is childcare provided?

The host church is expected to provide childcare for the event. The ages should include infants through grade 4.

What are the technical requirements for hosting the Event?

The host church is responsible for providing at least one projector and screen, a sound system, and one microphone.

What are the financial requirements for hosting the Live Event?

RHM does not request an honorarium. But we do request that all travel expenses of the Presenter be paid by the host church, and a love offering is to be taken of which 100% will be designated to go to RHM. Participants should not have to pay to attend.

Is there a cancellation policy?

While we certainly understand that there are times when circumstances outside of our control result in the cancellation of an event, if the event is canceled after RHM or the Presenter has incurred expenses for travel, resources, etc, the host church will be responsible for reimbursing those expenses.
