When it comes to Christmas gifts, my sons do it retro style. They love giving each other vintage toys that remind them of their past. Hooray for eBay - I guess.

Unfortunately, not all our retros are about happy memories. For you, Christmas may be more about reflecting on some not-so-great moments in your personal history. While it seems everyone around you is singing "Joy to the World," you're hurting; maybe even heartbroken. No one cares more deeply about your hurts than God does. He knows all about wounds - God's Son, Jesus, was horribly wounded when He paid the ultimate price to forgive our sin and to heal our brokenness. The Bible says: "He was crushed for our wrongdoings...by His wounds we are healed." This Christmas could be the best you've ever had with your sins erased from God's book and your wounds being healed by God's love.
