Download MP3 (right click to save) I really like Kurt Warner. He’s old, but he’s beating the young guys! If you follow professional football, you know that Kurt Warner is one of the oldest quarterbacks in the NFL. A few years ago, he led the St. Louis Rams to glory and he was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player. Now he’s led the Arizona Cardinals through a great season with a string of games where he’s passed for over 300 yards. But it’s not Kurt Warner’s ageless football ability that makes him an MVP in life. It’s what he does with the position he’s got. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and when it comes to realizing why each one of us Jesus-followers is where we are, Kurt Warner gets it. He told Sports Illustrated he wants what he calls his “football epitaph” to be these words: “Used his football platform to work for Jesus.” Well, I’ll tell you, that’s what he does. Anytime they give him a microphone, he uses it to point people to Jesus. Which raises the question, “What are we doing with the platform Jesus has given to us?” ”Well, I don’t have a platform.” Is there anybody you have influence with, who respects you, who listens to you? What you do for a living, for recreation, that’s a platform from God. He’s planted you there to be His embedded reporter to tell them what His Son did for them on the cross. How are you doing on why you’re there? The Jewish girl, Esther, was catapulted to being queen of Persia without anyone realizing she was Jewish. And when there was a plot to destroy her people, she had to risk everything to save them. God said this to her, “Who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 ). Esther was divinely positioned to save lives and so are you. We want to help you do that. Would you visit our website? It’s ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: Esther 4:14 |
