Download MP3 (right click to save) Hey, keep your eye on the sky tonight. There’s supposed to be a lunar eclipse. It’s always interesting to see the moon’s light disappearing. Of course, the moon really has no light of its own; it’s a big hunk of dead rock. It’s reflecting the light of the sun at the times of day when we can’t see the sun. Now, the light on the moon goes out when something… Well, actually, the earth comes between the moon and its source of light. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and that’s actually what makes our light go out, too, letting something come between us and the source of light in our lives. That would be the Savior we belong to. You might say that you’re assigned to be the face of Jesus to the people around you. They can’t see Him, but they can see you. Paul explains that in the context of Moses spending time with God on Mt. Sinai. Without knowing it initially, Moses came off that mountain glowing. He had the God-glow. Then Paul goes on to say: “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 ). I’m supposed to be more like Jesus today than I was a month ago, six months ago. It’s time in the presence of God each day that makes you radiant. You can tell the people who meet with God regularly. They’re radiant, and they don’t even know it. If you’ve been less than radiant lately, kind of negative and grumpy, frustrated, fretful, stressed out, angry, you’ve probably let something come between you and your Source of light. It’s time to get back to being with Him consistently so the light can shine again and the eclipse can end. There’s more spiritual encouragement for you at our website. I hope you’ll check it out today. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: 2 Corinthians 3:18 |
