Download MP3 (right click to save) The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we almost always see in Arlington Cemetery when the President goes there on Veteran’s Day to lay a wreath. You know, that ceremony of the changing of the guard has been going on for sixty years? I got close enough once to hear what they say to each other. The guard going off duty says, “Orders remain unchanged.” The guard coming on says, “Orders acknowledged.” That thing has been going on because of an unbroken chain of obeying the original orders. Now I’m Ron Hutchcraft and that’s actually why you and I belong to Jesus Christ today because of an unbroken chain of people who obeyed His original orders. Someone got to us with the message of a life that matters and an eternity in heaven. It started with Jesus and eleven men on a hillside. He gave this order, “You shall be My witnesses. Go and preach the Good News to all creation,” (Acts 1:8 ) and they did. They faithfully passed on the message of Jesus’ death and resurrection for us and they passed on the orders and the orders remain unchanged. Each generation of believers is responsible for their generation of lost people and that means Jesus has placed the news that changes eternities in your hands to deliver to the people in your personal world. Now if you know Him and you know some people who don’t, you’re His plan to rescue them, to give them a chance at heaven. You are their link to Jesus in a two-thousand-year chain of obeying the original orders. So much at our website is to help you help them be in heaven with you. Would you go there? It’s ALifeThatMatters.org because God put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: Acts 1:8 |
