Download MP3 (right click to save) Well I voted, hope you did. Some of us are going to be happy about the outcomes. Some of are going to be unhappy. Some are going to go, “Oh well.” Some are going to go, “Oh no, the end of the world!” Let’s put this in context. I heard of a world leader who described how he became one of the world’s great diplomats. When he was a boy in a classroom, the teacher put a black dot on a big white board and he said, “What do ya’ll see?” and they said, “Well, we see a black dot.” And he said, “That’s funny, I see a little black dot on a big white board.” You know what? This is a good day to look at the bigger board behind the dot. As big as the election may seem, it’s a dot on a much bigger canvas. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and Daniel puts the rise and fall of national leaders in a larger context. He saw his own nation fall and the rise and fall of three kingdoms and he told the most powerful man in the world, “Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them” (Daniel 2:20-21 ). And then he gives the ultimate bottom-line on our headlines: “There is a God in heaven” (Daniel 2:28 ). You bet there is. He’s the ultimate decider of outcomes. We may not understand it or like it, but we can trust it. He uses human leaders to accomplish his higher purposes and you’ll live a life that matters against a backdrop that isn’t random or ultimately decided by humans who may think they’re in charge. Man will do his thing, but remember, there is a God in heaven. Make sure you belong to Him. Our website will help you do that. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org because God put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: Daniel 2:20-21 , 28 |
