Download MP3 (right click to save) If you've ever seen the news show "60 Minutes" on CBS, you've seen some of the work of Dan Hewitt. He died a while ago, but he left us his legacy...much of the way TV news is reported today. "60 Minutes" was ground-breaking because it told multiple stories in one hour. For over 23 years, it was one of America's 10 most watched shows. A reporter asked him his secret. His answer was disarmingly uncomplicated. It's four words every child knows: "Tell me a story."
I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and that's exactly what people are looking for today, an honest story about a real person's life - like you, for example. In recent years I've gone with teams of Native American young people to the hardest to reach young people on this continent - Native young people. And I've watched those hard heart actually melt...every person listening, many coming to Christ through the power of the hope story that a team member told - the story of the transforming difference Jesus Christ has made in their life. If you belong to Jesus, you've got a hope story of the difference Jesus makes in the kind of person you are. People might argue with your beliefs, but hey, they can't argue with your personal story. And your story gives you the opportunity to tell about His story; the story of how what Jesus did on the cross made the decisive difference for you. No wonder the Bible talks about overcoming the devil "...by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony" (Revelation 12:11 ). There's life-changing, eternity-changing power in your hope story. Don't keep it to yourself! We want to help you know more about how to take people to heaven with you. Our website's all about that. Would you check us out? It's ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: Revelation 12:11 Learn how to share these articles with your friends (video tutorial) |
