Download MP3 (right click to save) Well, Indiana Jones is back in one of the seasons big movies. He’s a little older, a little stiffer, a little slower like I am. But he’s doing what he always does—searching. It started with looking for the Ark of the Covenant, and he was younger then. And then there’s been other things he’s looked for as he got older, and he’s still looking for something with supernatural power. But then…aren’t we all? I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and I think Indy’s search mirrors ours minus a little wild action scenes. It starts young, it intensifies as we get older; that search for the spiritual answers that will bring some peace to our soul and a life that matters. Now, maybe you’re in the category of those who are tired of searching and you’re ready to find. Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it” (Matthew 13:45 ). What a feeling it is to finally find the spiritual “pearl” that he spent a whole lifetime looking for. That’s what so many people have found in Jesus Christ. I have. The Bible says, “You are complete in Him” (Colossians 2:10 ). And that’s because in the Bible’s words, we were “created by Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16 ). And we’re restless because we’re away from Him; we’ve run our own lives. Jesus came looking for you and me. You were His “pearl” of great value, and on the cross, He spent everything He had to get you back. If you’re tired of searching and you’re ready to find spiritually, I’d invite you to our website. It’s alifethatmatters.org, because God put you here to live a life that matters. Bible References (NIV): Matthew 13:45 ; Colossians 1:16 ; 2:10 |
