Download MP3 (right click to save) It was Good Friday and our son decided to read the Good Friday story to his three-year-old daughter from her child’s Bible story book. As he read about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, he saw her beginning to blink like she does before she cries. And at that point he thought, “I’ve got to keep reading. She needs to hear the rest of the story right now!” So he read ahead to Easter, that victorious day when Jesus walked out of His grave under His own power. At that point, our little angel burst into song, singing, “Alive forevermore!”
I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and that little girl gets it; she’s sad that Jesus had to die for us, but she’s very, very happy that He’s alive. And right there is the crux of the central spiritual issue for every human being. Before there were any churches, or creeds, or pastors, or priests, there was the Son of God hanging on an old rugged cross. And the empty tomb of the only Man death could not hold. The Bible says, “He has freed us from our sins by His blood.” And Jesus said, “I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever” (Revelation 1:5 , 18). Love so great, He’d die for you; power so great, He walked out of His grave. Speaking of Him the Bible says, “He that has the Son has life; He that does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12 ). You have no more important decision to make in your whole life than what you will do with Jesus. We’d love to help you to have the information it takes to begin a relationship with Him.
