Download MP3 (right click to save) Recently I was taken on a tour of a building that houses several ministries, including what the guide identified as the Christian Bow Hunters’ Association. Well, that got my attention. My guide explained that these brothers have regular get-togethers that reach out to men who love bow hunting as they do, but who don’t know their Jesus. And it’s really working or hitting the mark you might say. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and the power of two loves is all about what those hunters are doing. They’re demonstrating the exciting plan of God for helping a lot more people be in heaven with us someday. It’s the Two Loves Rescue Plan, as in the spiritual rescue of folks we know who don’t know Jesus. God takes two loves you have and puts them together to position you to save lives. These men love bow hunting and they love Jesus, and they put those two together to lead guys from their bow hunting “tribe” to Jesus. Jesus called a fisherman named Simon to follow Him to become a fisher of men—using the same strategies he used in catching fish to capture souls. He sent a woman from Samaria to open the hearts of her fellow villagers to Him. (John 4 ). People listen to people like them—people in their tribe—their work tribe, generational tribe, recreational tribe. See, God’s calling you to take a love you have for a sport, or your kids, or a hobby, or a group you’re a part of and dedicate it to Him to be a bridge you use to introduce people to His Son. Think about it! Something you already love could be the tool God uses to help someone else learn to love your Jesus! We want to encourage and how to help people be in heaven with you someday at our website ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: John 4 |
