Download MP3 (right click to save) If the Super Bowl is like a lot of great games, you don’t necessarily have to watch the whole game if you’re busy. So many times, it’s all decided in the last two minutes—after they sound that two-minute warning. Because when you know there’s not much time left in the game, you abandon all caution and you go for broke. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and a lot of folks who are students of the Bible believe that we may be living in a world that’s heard God’s two-minute warning; that we may be in the countdown to the climactic event of all human history—the personal return of Jesus Christ to earth. We have no idea when Jesus will return, but I can tell you this. I think the world looks more like the kind of world He said He’d come back to than it’s ever looked before. This is no time to be playing like it’s the first quarter. Jesus told us that there would be two kinds of Christians in the times leading up to His final victory. We’re in one or the other. He said, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” Now there’s one group that’s the “cold.” See, the growing acceptance of sin will cause a spiritual numbness and coldness in most of Jesus’ followers, just as the last great battles of human history are unfolding. There’ll be yawning on the sidelines: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:12 , 14). See, that’s the bold. Some are going to look at the game clock and decide to go for broke to get Jesus to as many lives as possible. Where do you think you are? Are you the cold, or are you the bold? It’s two-minute warning time. Get in the game and play for keeps! We’ll show you more of how to do that if you’ll just visit our website today…ALifeThatMatters.org, because God put you here to live a life that matters.
