Download MP3 (right click to save) Our daughter and our young grandsons had just dug out all their Christmas decorations—especially the manger. They found Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, but they couldn’t find Jesus. As soon as Dad walked in the door from work, a distraught little boy was at the door asking one urgent question, “Where’s Jesus?” I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and I honestly believe this whole world is doing what my grandsons were doing that day—looking for Jesus, whether they know it or not. We’re living in a world that’s starved for a Savior, starved for hope. You can see it even in our political life. Millions will follow someone who offers hope, who offers answers. The problems and needs around us and inside us are too big and too deep for any human to fix. That’s why the angels announced at Jesus’ birth, “I bring you good news of great joy…for all the people…a Savior has been born to you” (Luke 2:10-11 ). Now, that’s good news for all of us! For you—throughout our life—our heart tells us, “Someone’s missing…something’s wrong.” Our sin is what’s wrong, and Jesus is who’s missing. He came to die to forgive us and bring us to the God we were made for. To, as the Christmas story says, “…save us from our sins” (Matthew 1:18 ). He’s the Savior, the Rescuer we’ve looked for so long, and Christmas is a wonderful time to find Him—to make the Savior your Savior. If you’re not sure you’ve ever done that, and you want to get this done, I hope you’ll go to our website where a lot of people have found help finding Jesus. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: Luke 2:10-11 ; Matthew 1:18 |
