Download MP3 (right click to save) When we took our Sunday afternoon drives into the country, I usually had a plan in mind, but I didn't always tell my three kids. I just called it a mystery trip. Well, that didn't cut it with our oldest son. Here came the interrogation: "Daddy, where are we going?" Followed by lots more questions about what we'd eat, how long would we be gone, what was there to do? Finally, I just looked in the rear view mirror, I smiled and answered with two little words, "Trust me." I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and when my children didn't know where I was taking them, I simply asked them to trust me. I would never do them wrong. It could be that your Heavenly Father is taking you on a mystery trip right now. You've got a lot of questions, and He's got one answer, "Trust Me." Remember the cross; remember His track record, and trust Him. You may be at what I call a "Troas Moment." Paul had planned to return to Asia Minor to continue planting churches. The Bible says, "They tried to enter, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they went down to Troas." Troas is that point where you're looking at a broken plan with no idea what to do next. The Bible says, "During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia...begging him, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us" (Acts 16:6-10 ). He did, and that's how the Gospel got to Europe. When your plan is broken, God has another plan - an even bigger plan! Your job? Ask Him, "Lord, where are You going in this? Just show me, and I'll go there with You." Don't worry if the trip is a mystery; you'll like where He takes you. There's more guidance for you as to some of the big plans God has for you at our website, and I think you'll find it encouraging.
