You either went on a missions trip in recent months or you probably know someone who did. I've heard the testimonies of people as they return, and they're just like glowing. When you're on a missions trip, prayer seems more powerful, the Bible seems more alive, people get closer, God seems more real and powerful, and you feel more fulfilled because you've done something eternally important. God's used you to actually change some lives! No doubt, a missions trip is like a "Kodak moment" in your spiritual life. So if it's that powerful, why not make your life a year-round missions trip?

I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and that's actually what Jesus had in mind for you. His command is, "You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem (That's where you are right now.), and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8 ). Notice, witness is not a verb here. "I think I'll go to Mexico and witness." It's a noun. You are His witness all the time, not just when you "go witnessing." So how can you make your life a year-round missions trip?

Probably you can't just start going to missions fields all year long. But wait! You live on a mission field. The people you see most every day are just as lost, just as much in need of Christ as any people you see in another country. They go to the same heaven or hell, and you're God's designated missionary to them. Which means it's up to you to show them Jesus and tell them about Jesus. How are you doing?

If you'll surrender yourself every day to Jesus for your missions trip that day, all those good things that happen for one week of a missions trip can happen all year long!
