If you want to make our friend Linda happy, buy her a 500-piece puzzle. When you walk in her house, there’s usually one spread out over a table somewhere. Sometimes it’s all together; sometimes it’s a work in progress. And right close by, of course, there’s the top of the box.

I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and it is really tough putting all those random pieces together when you don’t have any idea what they make or how they fit together. Sadly, so many people are trying to put together the puzzle of their life without the top of the box. Or more pointedly, without the only One who knows how all the pieces in front of you go together.

If you’re tired of like being a bunch of random pieces, if you’re ready to see what it’s all for, then you’re ready for Jesus. See, so many of us divide our lives into BC and AD, because until we put our life in Jesus’ hands, we couldn’t figure out how it all went together. The Bible actually says that “…everything was created by Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16 ). So you’re going to have a hole in your heart and no answer to the big ‘why am I here’ until you have Jesus.

The Bible says that even though we’re made by Him and for Him, “…each of us has turned to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6 ). We’re away from the only One who knows why we’re here. But the Bible also says, “The punishment that brought us peace is upon Christ” (Isaiah 53:5 ). Jesus actually took the rap for every sin we’ve ever done. So we can have peace with our Creator the day we give ourselves to Jesus. Maybe this could be that day for you.
