I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and actually, I think we feel that way in our relationships, too. We live in a world where so many people have something to sell us or an agenda they need us for. If you want to be a person they’ll never forget, why don’t you be one of the few “no agenda” persons in their life. You’re not trying to use them to help you or your cause get ahead, to meet some need you have, to help you look good or be successful. Paul celebrated a man with the catchy name of Onesiphorus as a model of selfless love. He sought Paul out when Paul was locked away in Caesar’s prison in Rome, when so many others had forsaken him. See if you’re the kind of person Paul describes here: “He often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains. He searched hard for me until he found me. May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord” (2 Timothy 1:16-18 ). You’ll be unforgettable if you come in like a refreshing breeze, not a dark cloud, if you’re willing to be there for them when there’s nothing in it for you, if you’ll pursue them even when they’re hard to get to. I want to be like that when I grow up. It’s actually being like Jesus; living as if I have no agenda but you! It may be that this kind of make-a-difference living is what your heart is restless for. Let’s get together at our website. Would you check it out today? It’s ALifeThatMatters.org.
