Download MP3 (right click to save) I called my little granddaughter. I said, “How’s my princess today?” She said, “I’m not a princess.” I said, “Really? What happened?” She said, “I’m not wearing my princess dress.” Well, I had to assure her it doesn’t matter how she looks, she’s always my princess. I make sure that I never forget that there’s someone who feels like that about me. Oh, I’m not a princess, but always His prince. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and I am convinced that so many of the damaging choices we’ve made in our life are because of one fundamental amnesia issue. We forget who we really are. We start believing we are who our critics say we are, or our friends, or our culture, or our feelings, or the devil. A life that matters is anchored in the identity given us by the God who made us, who sent His Son to die for us. He says, “We are the temple of the living God. ‘I will be a Father to you and you will be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:16 , 18). See, He’s the King of kings. If you belong to Him through Jesus, you are the son of the King, daughter of the King; no matter how you feel, how you’ve been treated, what names you’ve been called or what others think about you. You are the temple He lives in, you are His royal son or daughter, you are His purchase of blood. I gotta ask you, “Are you living like who you really are or have you forgotten who you are?” Maybe He brought us together today so you could remember who you really are. We want to encourage you in that direction even more and that’s what our website, I think, will help you do. Would you go visit us there? It’s ALifeThatMatters.org because God put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: 2 Corinthians 6:16 , 18 |
