Hey I saw them! They just came in for a landing on a nearby pond this morning, after announcing their approach with their unmistakable honking. Yep! The Canada geese are on the move again this time of year. When you see them, remember that those geese have something to teach us.

I'm Ron Hutchcraft. Now, scientists tell us that those honkers are seldom found alone. They stay together in that flock. They actually rotate the leadership of the V, so no one leader gets worn out. And they put the young and the weak near the back where the flying is easier. Now if one of them is unable to fly, at least one will stay behind with them until he can. Oh, and that honking? They think it's actually cheerleading...Honk "You can make it!" Honk, "Florida or bust!"

The scientist's conclusion: The Canada geese fly up to 71% farther together than they ever could alone. So can you. God told Adam, "It is not good for the man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18 ). We're wired to do life with partners, not as lone rangers. Psalm 133 says, "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity. For there the Lord bestows His blessing." God blesses unity. So, are you and your spouse flying together on things or separately? You and your parents? Your kids? How about you and your co-workers; the folks at church?
