Download MP3 (right click to save) My friends took me to an auction the other day where a restaurant was selling off everything. It was jammed! Lots of people there were just bidding on smaller items like kitchen ware and unique signs, but I could tell there were some guys there, the dealers, who knew exactly what they’d come for and what they had decided it was worth. Like the giant cuckoo clock that one bought for $15,000!
I’m Ron Hutchcraft. All the dealers pretty much owned the good stuff at the auction, because they clearly knew how to size up an item and bid what it’s worth. Now, when it comes to determining what you’re worth or I’m worth, the only One who really knows is the One who gave you your worth when He created you. Because the Bible clearly explains that “…you are God’s workmanship” (Ephesians 2:10 ). But the people He made to live for Him haven’t. In fact, the Bible says, “Our sins have separated us from the God who gave us our worth.” It’s the distance our sin has put between us and God that’s left us often feeling worth little or worthless. But Jesus decided how much He would pay to get you back. Speaking of Jesus, the Bible says, “With Your blood, You purchased men for God” (Revelation 5:9 ). Why such an awful price to get us back? Because sin has an awful price; an eternal hellish death penalty, which Jesus paid with His life on the cross. That’s how much He loves you. That’s how much He thinks you’re worth. He made His move on the cross. It’s your move now to accept or reject the Man who died for you. We’d love to help you be sure you belong to Him. You’ll find out how at our website. Will you check it out today—ALifeThatMatters.org. This radio program references: Ephesians 2:10 ; Revelation 5:9 |
