Well, it's time to put away the short sleeves and bring out the old long sleeves and, of course, to enjoy those changing colors and raking all those leaves. Actually, I love this time of year, and I love watching all the seasons change.

I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and this changing seasons rhythm thing is not just about weather and scenery changing. It's about our lives. Either you're in the middle of one of life's changing seasons right now, or well, you're going to be soon. As our kids grow, our health changes, our job changes, our income, as the people in our life change or leave, the seasons of our life change.

Sometimes there's turbulent weather when the seasons change. Some seasons are a welcome change; others issue us into a stretch of unmapped territory or even significant pain or anxiety. But there's one thing you can know for sure about whatever changes you're navigating right now. God's prophet, Daniel, lived the rise and fall of three kingdoms, at least four kings. He told the man who was then the most powerful ruler on earth, "Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons" (Daniel 2:20-21 ).

All seasons, including the one you're in right now, are ultimately God's seasons. He knows exactly what season you need right now to see Him as you've never seen and to become all you were created to be. Every season has its possibilities. You decide which one will prevail. Embrace this season. It's been given to you by a God who loves you passionately and who never makes mistakes.
