Download MP3 (right click to save) Some friends let us stay at their secluded get-away place recently. We really needed it! I'd look out the window and I'd see a couple of trees, a hillside, a patch of water. But when I climbed to the top of the nearby hill, "Woah! What a view!" I could see the whole lake, rolling countryside as far as I could look, a huge span of blue sky, sometimes even some deer. Looking out this one little window, I got only a fraction of what was going on. But when I went up higher, I saw the panorama - something a whole lot bigger. I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and I'm learning that's how God's plans are for your life and mine. Now, at any given moment, what you can see happening is only a fraction of what God's up to. When it comes to God's great plans for your life, there's always something bigger going on than what you can see right in front of you. Peter and John were going to the temple at prayer time. They saw a crippled man begging there. He asked them for money. Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you, 'In the name of Jesus, walk.'" (Acts 3:6 ). This lifetime cripple leaped to his feet and ran through the temple courts praising God. All Peter and John could see was a beggar at the temple. They obeyed God's leading in that situation. But this man's healing attracted so much attention, it ended up with Peter having a chance to preach the Gospel and 2,000 people came to Christ that day. Just one example of something God is doing every day in every life that belongs to Him. Remember, there's always something bigger going on than what you can see. You count on that today, and if you want to check out how you can make the greatest possible difference with the rest of your life, visit our website, would you? It's ALifeThatMatters.org.
