It's funny how meaningful those letters are to her, and yet we have so quickly adopted a "tech only" method of communicating that's just not the same. Let's face it, unless someone is very intentional, the emails and texts we send our loved ones daily will long be forgotten in twenty years. But there's one love letter that will never be lost, never fade away, and never lose its meaning. It's God's love letter to us - the Bible. It has stood the test of time as the best selling book of all time, has helped more people than any other book in history, and has maintained it's accuracy like no other written document in the world. And it's the most neglected book by believers that there is. Too often, it's found on a bookshelf somewhere in our home or it has a wrinkled cover from sitting on the dash of our vehicle for months at a time. But those of us who are serious about going to the next level with God cannot afford to stay on the course of neglect. We must realize that we do not have anything of real spiritual value to offer others apart from what we glean from God's Word and its application in our lives. Most important of all, the Bible contains the truth that all mankind needs to know regarding eternity and how to come to know Creator God in a real and personal way. And it's our responsibility to spread the message. Before you start another day, take some time to evaluate what God's Word really means to you. Are you reading it regularly as if your life depended on it? Is it your delight? Are you replacing it with a lot of other good things? |

Valentine's Day is all about love and relationships. My wife recently pulled out some old love letters I'd written to her while we were engaged. One thing's for sure from reading those letters - I wasn't just bitten by the love bug. I was run over by the delivery truck! And I have never gotten over it.
