Here are more ideas to think about: 1. Give gifts to people in your community. Everybody loves gifts at Christmastime. Identify non-Christian people that you could reach out to with a special gift. The gift doesn't have to be expensive. It truly is the thought that counts. The gift could be as simple as home-baked bread or cookies. Include with the gift a special note, or Christmas booklet. Here are some people to think about: neighbors, co-workers, teachers, service-providers, and other non-Christians you know. 2. Give a Christmas Goodie-Bag to your kids' classmates to distribute at the class Christmas party. Include in this bag: Christmas candy or cookies, a candy cane, other little items ("Happy Birthday Jesus" pencil or cup), and a Christmas book or booklet that is age appropriate and shares Jesus. With just a little bit of intentionality, this could become one of the most memorable Christmases you and your family have ever had, simply because you chose to allow God's priorities to become you own. For He is the One who "Came to look for and rescue the dying" (Luke 19:10 ). Next time we will look at one last idea for how to experience the most out of Christmas. I hope you will join us! |
