When it comes to telling other people how my life has been changed by Jesus, I often feel about like I do when it comes to fixing my car. I know how important it is that the car gets fixed, and I know how much joy it is to have my car back and running good after I have been without it. But to be honest, anything that requires working under the hood is pretty much out of my league.

Every year around the first of October, thousands of bow hunters from across the country hit the deer woods hoping to see the big buck they've only dreamed about. Part of what makes their hunt successful is their knowledge of where the deer are going to be and finding a way to get close to them without the deer knowing it. Thus, the need for camouflage.

1) Read what He's written to you. The Bible is God's love letter to us and is full of daily wisdom and knowledge that we all need to become faithful and productive followers of Jesus. I encourage new believers to begin reading the Gospel of John or the book of James.

I'm writing today's blog with two assumptions: first, that you as the reader are following Jesus by faith. And second, that you have a burden to take your friends and loved ones to heaven with you. This may miss some of you. For others, it will be right on target.
