It is hard to believe that 2007 is now finished. Time goes by so quickly! As we mark the beginning of a new year, may it be a reminder to all of us of the urgency to reach people for Christ while there is still time. The day will soon come when time will literally run out, and night will come. The window for eternal decisions will be shut forever.
My prayer for 2008 is that you won’t just make a casual "new year’s resolution" of some kind. My prayer is that rescue will become a burning passion of your heart - that every day you will look for, and seek out opportunities to share the hope you have in Jesus.
I invite you to join me and my family and to welcome in the new year on your knees. Pray, and ask God for wisdom. Get rid of the junk that is hindering you from all God wants you to be. And tell God you want to be His ambassador, to represent Him more passionately and effectively to the people in your “tribe” than you ever have before.
