Download MP3 (right click to save) Simon Fuller is the inventor of the blockbuster TV show "American Idol," and he said, "Only one person can be the American Idol.” Well, maybe so, but it seems like hundreds of people who audition for this blockbuster talent competition think it’s going to be them. They have to face Paula, Randy and Simon -- the judges. And they decide how good you are. For a lot of people, it’s brutal…it’s devastating actually. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and, you know, we’ve all got our own Simon’s and Paula’s and Randy’s; the people who let you know in both outspoken and implied ways how good you are or how bad you are. And a lot of times we feeling pretty beat up and pretty worthless. A lot of us get the vibe that we’re never good enough. So whose evaluation of you is going to be your reality? Is it what your co-workers make you feel like, or your teachers, or your boss, or your parents, or your fellow students, or the opposite sex? Well, here’s the reality. Your worth depends on one person. It is the person who gave you your worth in the first place, and we know who that is according to Ephesians 2:10 in the Bible. It says, “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works he prepared in advance for us to do.” God gave you your worth. No one on earth gave you your worth, and no one on earth can take it away; no abuser, no ex, no backstabber. If you’re feeling worthless or feeling like a loser, you’re either believing the wrong judge or you may be you’re away from the one who gave you your worth, because sin separates us from Him. Here’s how much you’re worth. Jesus gave His life to bring you back to God. He thought you were worth dying for, so don’t settle ever again. We’d love to encourage you if you’d just visit us at our website, alifethatmatters.org, because you were put here to live a life that matters.
