Download MP3 (right click to save) It’s that time again when just one bolt of lightning or just a careless act can start one of those blazing wild fires we see in the news all the time. And you’re going to see those heroic fire fighters battling to save forests, and towns, and homes, and lives. And sometimes even losing their own life. I think one of the most heartbreaking stories I read about. This came from Washington State when a small brush fire suddenly exploded into this uncontrollable inferno and four young fire fighters died that day. They tried to escape by a nearby road. It turned out to be a dead end road. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and I got to thinking about how many people make a similar mistake when it comes to finding the road to heaven, to God, and to escape God’s judgment. In fact the Bible says, “There’s a way that seems right to man, but it ends in death” (Proverbs 14:12). That’s thought provoking. Whatever road you’re on spiritually usually seems right, but if it isn’t God’s road, it doesn’t matter how right it seems. And only God can tell us what the road is, and He has. He says this in His Bible, “There’s only one God and one mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus. He gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone” (I Timothy 2:5-6). That’s why no religion can get us to God, including Christianity. Only Jesus can do that because, well, only Jesus paid the price or the ransom to remove the sin that would keep us out of heaven. He has rescued millions from that fire, and He’d love to do that for you. We’d love to help you get connected with Him if you’ll just go to our website. It’s alifethatmatters.org. He’ll give you a life that matters forever. That’s why He put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: Proverbs 14:12; 1 Timothy 2:5-6 |
