Download MP3 (right click to save) I met this guy at a college I was speaking at last fall; he was wearing a football shirt from the school. It said, “Undefeated since 1953.” Now listen, I was impressed. I said, “How could that be?” He said, “Well we haven’t had a team since 1953", which makes it a lot easier to be undefeated of course and totally meaningless. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and it’s easy to be undefeated when you’re not even in the game. Well there are too many undefeated followers of Jesus because they’re totally sidelines Christians, settling for life that’s safe instead of a life that matters. Like God’s army back in the days of David and Goliath. This pagan giant’s coming out every day looking for someone from the army of Almighty God to take him on and it says, “When the Israelites saw the man, they ran from him in fear.” But young David refuses to accept this unacceptable situation—that the enemies of God should intimidate and neutralize the army of God. It says, “He ran to the battle lines” (1 Samuel 17:20 , 22). God still needs Davids. Listen, maybe you’ve been content to be a spiritual taker for a long time. Isn’t it time you became a giver. It’s time to leave the chicken line and join the heroes on the front lines because you will no longer accept things in our world that are spiritually unacceptable. Like people going into eternity without ever hearing about what Jesus did for them. Listen, if you want to make a greater difference with the rest of your life, our whole website is about that. Let me invite you there. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org. God put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: 1 Samuel 17:20 , 22 |
