Download MP3 (right click to save) I saw myself in a movie recently in a little girl of all things. It’s the second movie based on The Chronicles of Narnia—Prince Caspian. Now the four children are again transported to this magical land of Narnia. It’s in the hands of powerful dark forces and their only hope of defeating the massive evil armies is Aslan, the lion king who actually represents Christ in C.S. Lewis’ stories. Now there’s this great scene: On one side of the bridge there’s a powerful army advancing and on the other side is one little girl, Lucy, and she’s just standing there with this confident smile and actually I’d call it a defiant smile. And she’s just got a little dagger in her hand against this whole army. It looks like a deadly mismatch except for one thing—the lion who’s standing by her side. He’s the mighty king and that is the winning side. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and I want to be like Lucy. The Bible says that there is a winning equation for a life that matters against all odds, “If God is for us who can be against us” (Romans 8:31 ). Now think about that in light of whatever forces are arrayed against you right now. What’s against you is bigger then you are, but your King is bigger than whatever’s against you. So you can stand confident and smiling because you plus God is a majority. Well there’s more spiritual encouragement for you at our website and I’d love to have you visit there today. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org because God put you here to live a life that matters. This radio program references: Romans 8:31 Learn how to share these articles with your friends (video tutorial) |
