Download MP3 (right click to save) The U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have a new thing to worry about now—evidence that the enemy is actually stealing the gear that’s used for night vision. Now the military says that the ability to see in the dark and to fight in the night gives them a definite advantage. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and there’ve been so many times when I have needed the night vision advantage; when the situation was dark, I had no idea where I was going as a parent, a husband, a decision maker—when I’m going where like life provides no map. Those dark times can become detour times from a life that matters, but thank God He has promised to be the light for every night we’ll ever face. The Bible says, “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them. I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. I will not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:16 ). Now you may not know where you’re going right now, but you can hold the hand of the One who knows exactly the way you should go. If you belong to Him through His Son, Jesus, and if you trust Him even when He shows you only one step at a time. He leads this way: take a step, see a step. Maybe you’ll find a little light for your night at our sight—our website. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org, because God put you here to live a life that matters.
