Hey, “Lost” is back! You know, it’s that TV show that’s been hailed as one of TV’s best and most creative series. It’s about these people that are stranded on this island by an airplane crash, and slowly we learn of their often kind of like dark pasts. They’re figuring out who they are, they’re figuring out where they are, they’re figuring out who they can trust and how to get un-lost…which is a lot like us.

I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and it seems like there are seasons where “Lost” is like the title of our own personal show; figuring out where we are, and who we are, and who we can trust, and how we can get un-lost. It’s all part of building a life that matters. You know, hope on the show and actually hope in my own personal story is one word. It’s the word rescuer.

For all of us who feel lost, there’s hope and a promise from Jesus Christ. He said, “I have come to seek and to save those who are lost” (Luke 19:10 ). In fact, His name Jesus means God rescues. He had to lay down His life for that to happen. It was a very expensive rescue to pay for the sin that keeps us from the God who can rescue us.

Jesus promised this: He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12 ). Now, for the characters in the series, they’re going to remain lost until 2010 when the series ends. Your lost can end when you open up your life to heaven’s rescuer. He knows where home is; He has helped millions of us get there, and He wants to help you.
