Download MP3 (right click to save) Now I’ve never been in a real earthquake, but I’ve heard people say that after a major quake nothing is where it’s always been before. Now can you say, “Money quake?” See, it’s like there’s been a 7.0 quake that’s hit our financial world and nothing is where it’s always been. Major players are just like gone over night. Credit has frozen up in a lot of areas and mortgages are hard to get and even harder to keep. National leaders are using words like dire and disaster. I’ve got friends in the financial world and it’s obvious that nobody knows for sure where this is all going. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and I remember a friend telling me about a man during the Depression after the banks were closed and shuttered. He was pounding on the gate, screaming out loud, “Give me my money!” Pretty bad place to have your security, I guess, in your money. That’s the question for our time: Is your security in something that you cannot lose? I’m reminded of some words from the Bible about a life whose security is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19 ). When you’re trusting Jesus to lead your life and to meet your needs, well, you’re anchored to a love that’s recession proof, and depression proof, and divorce proof, and terror proof, death proof. You can proceed with confidence that you can have a life that matters no matter what money quakes we wake up to tomorrow morning because it cannot touch the ultimate source of your supply and your security. If you want to live for what lasts, I think you’d enjoy our website. It’s ALifeThatMatters.org. Check it out, will you, because God put you here to live a life that matters.
