That really is something to celebrate and I think I will. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and there’s something to celebrate maybe even more than that. It’s the day a lot of people have, a day that declared their own personal independence from well, spiritual tyranny. I heard about a tribe in Alaska where they believe that we all carry this backpack through life; and in it there are rocks. Every time we do something wrong, it puts another rock in our backpack, and you carry around the guilt and shame and the regrets and the consequences of all those things. Well you know what? We all carry a backpack like that. The good news is this: That Jesus came to remove the backpack of all the sin of all our life and to free us to live a life that matters. Jesus put it this way, “Everyone who sins is a slave to sin. If the Son (that’s Him) sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:34 , 36). I am one of millions who can testify how awesome it feels to know that you’ve had every sin of your life forgiven and you’re totally clean in God’s eyes. Not because I’m so good or so religious, but because Jesus died to remove it and I asked Him to come into my life and pin my hopes on Him. See that’s why we want anyone we care about to know that freedom. That’s why I want it for you. I want to invite you to our website where you could find a lot more about this relationship with Him, because this could be your independence day.
